We have obtained a not guilty verdict for one of our clients who was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of intoxicating compounds. The criminal complaints charged our client with:

  1. driving while under the combined influence of alcohol and a type of synthetic marijuana called K2, both of which rendered our client incapable of safely driving; and
  2. driving while there was amphetamine in our client’s blood resulting from the unlawful consumption of an intoxicating compound.

After receiving the complaints and before our client’s statutory summary suspension began, our attorneys filed a petition to rescind statutory summary suspension and demanded trial. After a bench trial, the court found our client not guilty of both counts of driving under the influence of intoxicating compounds and granted the petition to rescind statutory summary suspension. Also, after trial, our attorneys successfully petitioned for and were granted the expungement of the records of our client’s arrest.
