There is an Action Type of 71 on my driving record. Can you give me more specifics on what that means?
This most likely means that you were issued an Illinois Probationary License. In Illinois, if you are convicted of 3 moving violations in less than 12 months, then your driver’s license will be suspended for 3 months. At that time, if you are eligible for the Illinois Probationary License Program, then the Illinois Secretary of State will mail you a notification letter with instructions on how to enroll and complete the Program. Upon successfully completing the Program requirements, you will receive a probationary license from the Illinois Secretary of State, which will enable you to drive during the suspension period.
What does CDL mean?
It means “commercial driver’s license,” which is a driver’s license required to operate large or heavy vehicles such as trucks and trailers.
